By definition, it was more than appropriate for RANDALL COUSINS to name his Premiere CD "DRIVEN". After years of producing talented singers and musicians, the curator and founder of Alleged-Iguana Music and the renown Roto-Noto Empire, the Brave New Frontiers Radio/Podcast Catalyst, finally took the advice of his peers and examined his musicality with a defining goal. That goal? To produce, record, write and perform a self-proclaiming album comprising the years of experience and dedication that RANDALL COUSINS has devoted to Music.

Backed by a slew of friends and music-biz co-horts, Randall has encompassed the concepts gained throughout his musical career and prepared an audio extravaganza that not only represents him as a gifted artist but also that of a creative visionary .

Simply Stated : Randall Cousins has come full circle.

In a recent interview with Singer/Songwriter Shelley Buffitt, notable Canadian Journalist Wesley Keller asked, "What is it about Randall Cousins you most admire?"

Her answer "His honesty "... She went on to say.."Randall makes you believe and understand things have a deeper complexity, particularly in music and recording. You can get swallowed up in his ideas... somehow he creates a domino effect that just makes everyone feel part of the whole picture. No song is about him or you, it's about all the contributors. He's always open to new ideas and something different".  Buffitt also talked about Randall on a more personal level. "He's steadfast, he knows what he wants. He's a wonderful father,son and partner. Sure, he can flip over to either side of the coin in a situation, but he's always fair. Believe me, he's far from perfect, but he's got passion and ambition, really.. its' damn sexy. Some people call him eccentric, sort of a rebel,, but those that really know him,.. well, he's a gem. Unpolished and a rough cut but that's just RC. One thing he doesn't disguise is his perseverance and love for music." et al.

Starting his career in music eons ago, Randall first performed in the Salvation Army Band in his hometown of Hamilton, Ontario. Years later, after playing in numerous bands, he developed a stellar Producing career sparkling with artists that includes Mark LaForme, Lynne and the Rebels, Gil Grand and Jessie Commisso, Grant Tingey, Burnt Water and many others.

The Hamilton Music Association held their annual awards ceremony in November 2006 and Randall was honoured with the coveted "Instrumental Recording of the Year" for the critically acclaimed CD "Murder on the Ice-Train".  The Hamilton Awards were dedicated to Guitarist Mark Severn. Mark was killed driving home from a gig in July 2006. As a respected and beloved confidante, mentor, friend and music junkie accomplice, the album DRIVEN is committed to the memory of Mark Severn....as is Randall's bald-head.

The "Shelley Cousins Band" also garnered Mr. Cousins and vocalist Shelley Buffitt kudos at the Toronto Independent Music Awards in October 2006 with their nomination as "R&B Artists of the Year". Not only is Randall the producer and co-writer of the Shelley Cousins 2007 entree album "InEvitable", but he's also the originator of the innovative duo,

"Manon's Dream" consisting of Manon and Lillian Zlamal and Randall Cousins will be releasing their newest album Spring 2007...."Time Sensitive Angels".

Perhaps another trophy will be added to the growing collage of recognition Randall Cousins has received past and present as he continues his producing career with recording artists Scott VanTeffelen, Martine Baker, Samantha St. Ives, Scott Almond, Geoffrey Wickham, and Mark LaForme.  It seems reasonable to say that it will also be accomplished by the triumph of the debut performances on his own CD- "DRIVEN"... The altruist deity "Rejean" predicts ... "It is destined to be a classic".

There are 13 tracks being unveiled on this album. Each has been carefully selected and nurtured with discriminating taste.
